Eugene Kegans graduated from the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy in 1968. After graduating from UT, Eugene was employed by Ben Steen at Spring Creek Pharmacy in Dallas. In 1969 Eugene was called to active duty and served in the Army. Following the completion of his duty, Eugene returned to Steen’s Spring Creek Pharmacy. Steen then purchased Gaulden Drug in 1969 and Eugene moved to Leonard with his wife, Becky. In 1973 the Kegans purchased Leonard Pharmacy from Steen.

Kacey Blackerby graduated from the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1999. During this time she received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. After Kacey's graduation, she went to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital, where she completed a one-year Pharmacy Practice Residency. Following the completion of the residency, Kacey worked as a pharmacist for Parkland Hospital in Dallas for six years. While at UAB, and Parkland Hospitals, Kacey worked in Anticoagulation Clinic where she monitored patient's drug therapy/INR levels. Kacey and her husband, Mark, have two children and enjoy being back in their hometown.

Chris Hughes attended the Texas Tech Health Science Center, where he received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2018. He graduated from Whitewright High School in 2009, and in 2013 received a B.S. Chemistry from Hardin-Simmons University. Chris was a pharmacy manager with Brookshire’s prior to joining our pharmacy staff in 2023, . He is married to Hailey and they have four boys.
